The Haggin Museum’s annual McKee Student Art Contest & Exhibition—the longest-running student art competition in the United States—returns February 2-April 1, 2012, featuring a new collaboration with the Stockton Symphony.

Every year the museum invites all public, private and charter schools in San Joaquin County to participate and receives more than 1,000 pieces of art chosen by teachers as the best of their class, which fill the galleries of the museum.

The exhibition was first envisioned 81 years ago by The Haggin Museum’s founding patron, Robert T. McKee, whose goal was to encourage students by providing a public venue for their artworks.

Participate in a collaborative art experience with the kids from Pixie Woods in the new Malloy Education Center: paint a mural, design your own greeting cards, and enjoy music and movement.

Families with children ages 5-12 are invited to participate. All materials are included in the price of regular museum admission. No reservations are required; just come and have fun!

Enjoy an evening of acoustic oldies and original songs from the popular local duo Frankie & Annette.

This evening performance is included with regular museum admission, as part of the museum's 1st & 3rd Thursdays series, featuring complimentary wine and snacks beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Seating is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
